Product Description

Winemaker: Anthony Murphy

This Tasmania Pinot Noir is part of our carefully selected Family Reserve Range that aims to epitomise the best these regions have to offer.

Aroma Cherry, spice and harmonious French oak.

Palate Varietal flavours of red fruits and strawberry cream show an ideal balance with softness and poise.  A silky, quality Pinot Noir with a smooth texture and supple fine tannins.

Vineyard Fruit is sourced from an exceptional vineyard located in the Tamar Valley of Northern Tasmania.  The shallow stony soils and cool climate combination result in consistently high quality fruit with great primary fruit flavours, structure and complexity.

Winemaking 2013 was dryer and slightly warmer than average in Northern Tasmania, these conditions produced fruit of excellent quality with great flavour and colour. Harvested on 14th April 2013 at 13.2 Baume, the grapes were de-stemmedand crushed before cold soaking for 3 days. Fermentation followed in open vats for 7 days before pressing into French oak for maturation.  After 14 months of maturation the wine was blended and bottled.
