The premium fruit used to produce Quartier Pinot Gris was harvested and fermented in open stainless steel vats. Post maturation in new French oak for 11 months, the resulting wine shows a pale straw colour with light yellow flecks. The fragrant nose offers vibrant aromas of Granny Smith apple and crisp pear skin, with hints of musk and wheat following close behind. A sip of the wine reveals juicy flavours of Jazz apple and nectarine. These magnificent characters are balanced by firm acidity and phenolics, providing an elegant texture. This wonderful Pinot Gris from Port Phillip Estate ends in a captivating finish marked by citrus blossom nuances. Suggested food pairings include spaghetti carbonara, cucumber-grapefruit crab salad, and grilled halibut.
