Single vineyard fruit of old vines, fruit basket pressed off early oak. Aged 12 months in a combination of french and american oak. This wine is classic McLaren Vale, rich and layered, but without the jam characteristics common today.The intent was to avoid a jammy or over extracted wine. The result is beautifully balanced with a creamy mouth feel contrasting the rich spicey flavours. This wine reflects our old world sensitivities and desire for balance.
