The 2012-13 growing season began wet and cool but soon dried out to produce excellent growing conditions.
Some late rain re-appeared but good viticulture allowed us to handle this with ease.
Flavours developed well and the cooler conditions retained high natural acidity.
Harvested in the cool of the night and transported to the winery for immediate processing.
The first free-run juice was fermented in French oak barrels with the remaining portion fermented in tank to provide fruit brightness in the finished blend.
No malo-lactic fermentation occurred.
