Food Match The luscious, floral Pinot Gris is a perfect match with spicy food. We recommend that you take someone special to the local Thai restaurant, order Chilli and Basil Chicken stir-fry, crack the Pinot Gris and see where the night takes you!

The Vineyard  The Awatere Valley has a unique character, shaped by strong costal winds, low rainfall, intense sunshine and cool nights. The Wairau Valley with its abundant sunshine, long autumns and crisp cool winters has proven to provide the elements needed to produce world-class wines. The blend of fruit from these sub-regions of the well-known Marlborough gives vibrant yet elegant flavoured wine with a distinctive character.

The Winemaking  The parcels of Pinot Gris were harvested separately, the fruit crushed, chilled and lightly pressed. The batches were then cold settled, then racked and fermented at cool temperatures to retain optimal fruit characteristics, assisted in part by the use of selected yeast strains. The wine was left on lees for two weeks to add roundness to the palate, and was then blended, stabilised and filtered, and bottled early to retain fresh varietal characters.
