Product Description

Chateau Tanunda Lyndoch Shiraz

Limited availability

Vintage: Current vintage - Enquiries welcome

Aroma From a vineyard in the southern end of the Barossa, this 2012 Shiraz is full of soft, dark cherry fruit with rich kirsch like notes, dark chocolate and spicy oak.

Palate The palate is textured and layered, with the dark berry fruit aromas again coming to the fore. The palate has a long finish, complimented by defining oak tannins.

Winemaker Stuart Bourne

Grape Variety 100% Shiraz

Region LYNDOCH - Barossa Valley

Winemaking Report
The grapes were destalked (separating berries from the bunch) and placed uncrushed into small stainless steel open fermenters. A cultured yeast was used to start the fermentation and the tanks were hand plunged spending 7 days on skins at 28° C. Further maturation in a mixture of French and American Oak for 18 months has resulted in a wine of great structure and finesse.
