Vintage 2008
Colour crimson red with purple hues
Nose lifted berry fruits fill the glass, creating a really attractive nose. This is backed by good quality French oak characters and some typical Merlot creamy notes
Palate lovely rich front palate of ripe berries and some spicy plums. There are well integrated cedary oak characters, ripe tannins and balanced acidity working harmoniously together to provide a long and complex finish to the wine. An attractive fruit driven red wine with good weight and richness. A pleasure to drink now, yet will continue to evolve over the next five to seven years
Winemaking a fermentation period of 10 days followed by a further 10 days of skin contact have kept the tannins as fine grained as possible. The wine matured in French oak for 8 months
Vintage conditions harvest conditions were cool and dry, allowing for slow maturation and maximum flavour development
